VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE HART KITTEN FOSTER PROGRAM

HART for Animals Adoption Wing is in need of volunteers to foster litters of kittens during the kitten season months. Kitten fosters play a critical role in caring for vulnerable kittens and preparing them for adoption.

“This time of year, there isn’t enough space for all the kittens brought to shelters, and we must find a way to save them,” says Ashely Diehl, Adoption Wing Manager. “Otherwise, their lives, which have just begun, remain at risk,” she adds. Kitten fosters are responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of the kittens in their care, and include feeding, socialization, medical care, and cleanliness. HART provides the necessary tools to each foster for the health and safety of the kittens, including food, medicine, toys, and staff support.

More information and an application on the kitten foster program are available online at www.hartforanimals.org/kitten-foster-program or email ashleyd@hartforanimals.org.
